Job summary

Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi is hiring an Academic Success Coach I to support undergraduates admitted conditionally or at academic risk. You will connect students with resources, monitor progress, and maintain caseload records to strengthen retention.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), strong communication, and experience with student information systems. Some evening/weekend work and campus collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Experience with at-risk populations or students on scholastic probation is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends when needed.
• Familiarity with student information systems (Navigate, Banner, DegreeWorks, Argos).

Responsibilities

• Provide scholastic direction and advise undergraduate students individually and in groups.
• Maintain caseloads, monitor progress, and refer to university resources.
• Assist with program events, orientations, workshops, and outreach activities.
• Manage records, contracts, and student progress reports.
• Collaborate with university staff and participate in recruitment and engagement efforts.
