Job summary

You will use tools like EAB Navigate, manage appointments, assist with major declarations, and participate in orientation and campus events. A bachelor’s degree and experience in higher education are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Experience in higher education with college student populations.
• Computer literacy and ability to use campus software and systems.
• Knowledge of FERPA and student privacy guidelines.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Advise a caseload of freshmen and sophomores to support transition and success.
• Provide proactive advising using motivational interviewing and developmental frameworks.
• Utilize retention data to inform advising initiatives and decisions.
• Manage appointments, alerts, and notifications within EAB Navigate.
• Assist students with declaring or changing majors and degree planning.
• Participate in campus retention initiatives and orientation activities.
• Represent the office at campus events such as Preview Day and First Fridays.
• Collaborate with the College Success Team to support student engagement and persistence.
• Maintain accurate student records and protect confidentiality.
