The Academic Retention Specialist will provide direct service to students using the Tribal Nations Student Affairs (TNSA) office who require extensive academic support. This position will assist with managing the Indigenous Scholars Training for Excellence Program (INSTEP). The TNSA Academic Retention Specialist is expected to work closely with the staff in the University Advising Services, Student Support Services, Counseling and Testing Center, and other departments to provide the support services needed for the retention and completion of the student’s undergraduate degree. This position facilitates workshops, support groups and orientation activities and completes other duties as assigned by the Tribal Nations Student Affairs Director.
