Job summary

Collin County Community College invites applications for a part-time Librarian – Reference Services. You will provide reference services and instruction to students, faculty, staff and the public, and help users locate information in databases, catalogs, ebooks, and streaming media.

You will collaborate with departments to develop collections, plan class sessions, and serve as liaison for curriculum support.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in library science or library and information science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Three years of reference experience in an academic, public, or special library.
• Knowledge of online databases, library catalogs, and information sources.

Responsibilities

• Explain and assist in using reference sources and databases.
• Conduct library instruction and orientations via classes, workshops, and online sessions.
• Serve as liaison to teaching faculty for collection development and bibliographic instruction.
• Develop and maintain library collections and online resources.
