Job summary

Collin College seeks a Library Reference Librarian to provide reference services and instruction to students, faculty and the public. You will guide users in finding information using databases, catalogs, streaming media and eBooks, and support the library homepage resources.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining the library collection, serving as a liaison to assigned departments, and delivering outreach through classes and workshops.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s degree in library science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Minimum of three years of reference experience in academic, public, or special libraries.

Responsibilities

• Provide library reference services and instruction to students, faculty, staff and the public.
• Explain and assist users in locating information using library databases, catalogs and eBooks.
• Schedule and deliver library instruction and orientation through classes, workshops and web-based instruction.
• Liaise with faculty to support curriculum through collection development and bibliographic instruction.
• Develop and maintain online library resources and collections.
