Job summary

Albany Medical Center, part of the Albany Med Health System, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Infectious Disease physician to join The Bernard & Millie Duker Children's Hospital in Albany, NY.

The role is in an academic division with appointment at Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level, commensurate with experience. Inpatient consultations, outpatient HIV/PrEP care, teaching, and antimicrobial stewardship are core responsibilities.

Qualifications

• MD or DO or equivalent degree.
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellowship program.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
• Eligible for New York State medical license.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient pediatric infectious disease consultation services.
• Deliver outpatient Infectious Disease and HIV/PrEP clinical care.
• Participate in shared night and weekend home call coverage.
• Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and other learners.
• Mentor trainees in clinical research and scholarly activities.
• Contribute to antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention, advocacy, and program development initiatives.

Education

MD or DO or equivalent degree

Completion of an accredited Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellowship program

Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Infectious Diseases

Eligible for New York State medical license
