Job summary

Albany Medical Center is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible Pediatric Infectious Disease physician to join the Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital, the only children’s hospital in northeastern New York.

The role involves inpatient consults, outpatient ID/HIV‑PrEP care, and teaching responsibilities within an established academic division, with opportunities for clinical research and program development.

Qualifications

• MD or DO or equivalent degree required.
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellowship program.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
• Eligible for New York State medical license.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient pediatric infectious disease consultation services.
• Deliver outpatient Infectious Disease and HIV/PrEP clinical care.
• Participate in shared night and weekend home call coverage.
• Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and other learners.
• Mentor trainees in clinical research and scholarly activities.
• Contribute to antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention, advocacy, and program development initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the Children's Hospital.
