Job summary

Lone Star College-Tomball is seeking an Advisor II to serve as the first point of contact for students, providing academic advice and guiding degree planning and enrollment. You will educate on policies, state and federal rules, and represent LSC in internal and external settings.

You will advise on course selection, prerequisite planning, and career pathways, while coordinating with transfer offices and campus resources to support student success and retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Experience working in higher education preferred.
• Ability to advise students on degree planning and enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Advises students on degree requirements, program planning, and course selection.
• Guides smooth transition to four-year institutions and coordinates transfer events.
• Tracks student progress and analyzes completion rates for cohorts.
• Creates workshops and information sessions; assists with resumes and job search.
