Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA is seeking an Academic Support Partner to liaison with academic institutions, manage student clinical experiences, and support workforce strategy initiatives.

You will oversee student placements across disciplines, onboard instructors and ensure regulatory compliance, while guiding operational leaders and educators to foster a high-quality learning environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in human resources, business or related field required.
• Three to five years of experience in healthcare, clinical coordination, academia, workforce development, or related field preferred.
• Current professional HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
• Preferred knowledge of clinical education processes and healthcare workforce development; understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements for student placements.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities; strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between the health system and academic institutions to manage student clinical experiences.
• Support workforce strategy initiatives and strengthen partnerships with academic partners.
• Manage student clinical placements across multiple disciplines and oversee onboarding and regulatory compliance.
• Consult with operational leaders, clinical educators, academic stakeholders and students to ensure a high-quality learning environment.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the St. Tammany Academic Center.
