Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA is seeking an LPN Hospitalist Clinical Assistant to support hospital medicine throughput and patient placement. The role works with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely, quality care while coordinating patient lists across units.

Successful candidates will hold an LA LPN license, have clinical experience, BLS certification, and be able to work autonomously within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a board-certified nursing program required.
• Current LA LPN licensure.
• Minimum of two years clinical experience.
• Strong planning, organizing and communication abilities.
• Current BLS certification (via ILCOR accredited courses with manikin check-off).

Responsibilities

• Assist in throughput and placement of patients admitted to the hospital medicine service.
• Cohort patients to appropriate units and streamline patient lists between providers.
• Collaborate with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely and quality care.
