The University of Virginia School of Medicine invites applications for a board-certified or board-eligible palliative medicine physician to join the Section of Palliative Medicine within the Department of Medicine.

This full-time faculty position offers options for tenure-eligible or tenure-ineligible tracks, at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor ranks, with compensation commensurate with qualifications.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in palliative medicine.
• Experience in both outpatient palliative care and inpatient consultation.
• Teaching, mentorship, and curriculum development experience.

Responsabilités

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based palliative care for adults with serious illness.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Contribute to clinical program development, quality improvement, and patient safety.
• Develop collaborative clinical, educational, or research initiatives across departments.
