Job summary
The University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks an academic palliative medicine physician for our expanding program. Inpatient consultations and development of an outpatient palliative service are expected. Protected time for teaching and research is provided.

Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited domestic or foreign-equivalent university.
- Must meet requirements to obtain a medical license in the State of Maryland.
- Board certification or eligibility in Palliative Medicine.
- Strong foundation in internal medicine; teaching and research or quality improvement experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient palliative care consultations and participate in multidisciplinary rounds.
- Develop and expand outpatient palliative care services.
- Dedicate protected time for teaching and scholarly activities.
- Collaborate with ICU teams and hospital leadership to integrate palliative care across care settings.
