Job summary

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center seeks a Palliative Care Physician to support a growing, multidisciplinary academic palliative care program. The role includes inpatient admitting and consultation duties, ambulatory care, and supervising fellows and APPs, with opportunities in clinical, teaching, and research activities.

Candidates should have an MD/DO from an LCME-approved school, completed Internal Medicine residency, and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hospice and

Qualifications

• MD/DO from LCME-approved medical school; Internal Medicine residency from an ACGME-accredited program preferred.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine; Texas licensure eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Attend on the palliative care admitting service.
• Inpatient palliative care consultations.
• Ambulatory palliative care clinic involvement.
• Supervise palliative care fellows and other trainees; supervise APPs.
• Participate in clinical, educational, and research activities of the Service.
