Job summary

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Washington invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor without tenure due to funding (WOT), with an anticipated start date of November 1, 2026. This ad will recruit for 2 positions.

The successful candidate will provide direct patient care in general obstetrics and gynecology and have opportunities for scholarly work in education, QI and/or research, and leadership across ambulatory

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
• Board eligibility or certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology or foreign equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in managing complex gynecologic referrals including obstetric and gynecologic emergencies.
• At least one year of experience of surgical proficiency in both laparoscopy and open procedure.
• Demonstration of prior outstanding scholarly work in education, research, quality improvement, or administration expertise
• All candidates must be eligible for and able to maintain a Washington State medical license.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care in general obstetrics and gynecology.
• Opportunities for scholarly work in education, QI and/or research, and leadership.
• Work in an ambulatory clinic site with a diverse patient population and in L&D and the OR with medical students and residents and will participate in resident and medical student education including clinical teaching, didactics, simulation activities, and QI/Patient safety.
• Take night and weekend call and provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients.
• Engage in education, leadership, mentorship and research consistent with the academic mission of the University of Washington.
