Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a strategic, results-oriented healthcare leader to serve as Unified Administrator for the Department of Neurology. This executive will oversee faculty practice, inpatient operations, finance, and strategic initiatives across a multi-site academic enterprise.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible healthcare administration experience.
• Experience leading academic medical centers, faculty practice organizations, or integrated health systems preferred.
• Experience overseeing complex clinical operations, financial management, strategic planning, and organizational development initiatives.
• Demonstrated success partnering with physicians, department chairs, or senior clinical leaders.

Responsibilities

• Strategic planning and growth: develop and execute initiatives, plans, recruitment strategies, and growth opportunities.
• Clinical operations and faculty practice: lead acute inpatient and critical care services, optimize operations and patient access.
• Team leadership and development: mentor and develop administrative staff and foster accountability.
• Academic and research partnership: align clinical, educational, and research missions with enterprise priorities.
• Executive partnership and stakeholder management: serve as the primary administrative partner to the Neurology Chair and coordinate with leaders across the organization.
• Additional responsibilities: oversee budgeting, financial planning, and compliance, promoting operational excellence.
