American University is seeking a Student Video Technician to support recording, editing, and processing video projects for the AMS Office within the University Library.
As a part-time student employee, you will work with clients to meet their video needs, maintain studio presence, and help operate Simple Studio on a scheduled basis, under supervision of the Instruction & Media Technology department.
Most student positions at American University are eligible to use Federal Work Study (FWS) awards, with a few exceptions. FWS funds cannot be applied to janitorial, construction, partisan or sectarian positions. TheAMS (Academic Multimedia Services)Student Video Technicianis responsible forrecording, editing, and processing video. Student Video Technicians work as a group to share and carry out responsibilities on a scheduled basis. Student Video Technicians also helpmaintainstaff presence in the AMS office and Simple Studiowithin the University Library, coordinating with clients to meet their needs.
