Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Medicine seeks a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist in the OB/GYN division in Richmond, VA. The role includes labor/delivery coverage, prenatal diagnosis, and ultrasound, with outpatient duties and involvement in education and research.

The successful candidate will lead training for medical students and residents, mentor fellows, and participate in clinical research activities within a premier academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include completion of General OB/GYN and Maternal-Fetal Medicine training equivalent to ACGME/ABOG accredited programs
• Virginia medical license eligibility required
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations respectfully

Responsibilities

• Provide specialty care in Maternal-Fetal Medicine including labor and delivery coverage, in- and outpatient consultation, prenatal diagnosis, ultrasound, and high-risk pregnancy management
• Participate in teaching students, residents, and fellows and contribute to department education
• Initiate and mentor research projects and contribute to scholarly publications/presentations
• Serve on departmental, hospital, and university committees as needed and participate in clinical activities including obstetric clinics, ultrasound, and delivery coverage
