Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking an experienced Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Physician to join the MFM Division in Roanoke, Virginia. The role combines clinical care, teaching, and research within a supportive academic environment.

The successful candidate will provide high-risk pregnancy care, participate in resident and medical student education, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
• Strong interest in academic medicine, including teaching and research.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Virginia.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized maternal and fetal care for high-risk pregnancies in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Participate in teaching and mentorship of OBGYN residents and medical students.
• Engage in clinical research opportunities to advance the field of maternal-fetal medicine.
• Perform and interpret advanced fetal imaging, including ultrasound and invasive fetal diagnostic procedures.
• Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
