Qualifications

• Board certified or eligible in medical oncology or hematology.
• Eligible for Virginia licensure.
• Evidence of accomplishment/potential (e.g. publications, trial PI) during medical school, residency, fellowship, and/or early academic career
• Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty at VCU

Responsibilities

• Attends on the inpatient wards and consult service, and/or sees patients in the outpatient clinic with a focus on hematologic malignancies.
• Trains medical students, residents and fellows in the lab and while in the clinic; participate in clinical research opportunities for fellows.
• Teaching and research opportunities provided through VCU School of Medicine faculty development programs; may participate in sponsored research activities
• Contributes to translational research efforts to bring laboratory discoveries to patients quickly and safely
