Job summary

The Academic Liaison at Community Youth Center of San Francisco (CYC) works with the School-Based Leadership Team and the After School Program to align vision, expectations, and outcomes between the ASP and the school day—especially for academic components.

She/he provides 1:1 social/emotional and behavioral support, helps coordinate PD for staff, and contributes to goal setting and reporting. Strong curriculum development and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and CA Teacher’s Credential are required.
• 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to develop curriculum and implement programs.
• Experience with classroom management and restorative practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Meet with School-Based Leadership Team to plan programs and maintain communication between site administrators and the ASP Leadership Team.
• Serve as liaison between school day and after-school staff to align interests and initiatives.
• Provide 1:1 or small group social/emotional and behavioral support as needed.
• Lead PD and coaching for after-school staff around academic content and instructional strategies.
• Supervise tutoring and create a positive learning environment.
