University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria seeks an Assistant/Associate/Professor of Clinical Pediatrics-Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics. The position is based in Peoria, IL, with a competitive salary and benefits.

The role includes inpatient/outpatient care, echocardiography, teaching, and scholarly activity in fetal and pediatric cardiology. Board certification in Pediatric Cardiology is required, along with Illinois licensure and appropriate training.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible for licensure in Illinois.
• BC/BE in Pediatric Cardiology.
• 3 years pediatric residency/3years pediatric cardiology fellowship or equivalent.
• Significant experience or formal training in Pediatric & Fetal Echocardiography.
• Pediatric and congenital transesophageal echocardiography.

Responsibilities

• Patient care duties including inpatient, outpatient and echocardiography.
• Satellite clinics in the region.
• On-call duties for pediatric & congenital cardiology.
• Teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Academic efforts including original research and QI.
• Imaging QI for Echo.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
