University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria seeks a nationally recognized Pediatric Cardiologist to lead the Section Chief role within the Department of Pediatrics. The position emphasizes leadership, program development, clinical excellence, and scholarly activity in a growing regional center.

The role includes expanding clinical programs, guiding education for trainees, and aligning research with institutional priorities to elevate the center’s national standing.

Formación

• Completed both Pediatric residency and Pediatric Cardiology fellowship training.
• Board Certification in Pediatric Cardiology.
• Eligible for Illinois medical licensure.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the Pediatric Cardiology section with physicians and advanced practice providers; oversee program growth and regional referrals.
• Develop clinical and translational research strategies aligned with hospital priorities.
• Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgery, anesthesia, and hospital leadership to optimize patient care pathways.
• Support education programs for medical students, residents, and fellows within the department.
