Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Hawaii Job Corps Center in Waimanalo, HI. We seek an instructional professional to deliver curriculum-based instruction and guide students toward their academic goals.

You will provide basic direction, administer and correct rests, maintain progress and attendance reports, participate in assessments, and help develop community linkages. A valid driver’s license is required and an Associate’s Degree with related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and/or combination of education & experience providing knowledge or skill to instruct within designated subject matter. Bachelor's Degree & one year of experience preferred.
• A Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with basic direction, instruction and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
• Administer and correct rests and maintain progress and attendance reports.
• Assist in developing community linkages and volunteers for the department.
• Ensure accountability is taken each period and report student absences promptly.
• Participate in student assessment panels, and perform required documentation and evaluation using CIS (Center Information System) and other documentation systems.

Schedule – as needed, Monday – Friday

What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for the academic instruction per approved curricula. They will provide training and basic guidance and direction to help students achieve their academic goals.
