Job summary

MES, LLC seeks Academic Instructors to provide classroom instruction, tutoring, study hall support, and individualized academic assistance for the Navy Future Sailor Preparatory Course at Great Lakes, IL. Instructors support Future Sailors in improving academic performance and ASVAB-related test scores using Government-approved curriculum and instructional methods.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of experience in adult or young-adult education.
• Experience teaching mathematics, reading, literacy, or remediation programs.
• Instructor training completed or teaching credential required.
• Bachelor's degree in mathematics education, reading education, or related field; master's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction in mathematics and/or verbal subjects.
• Deliver virtual instruction to DEP personnel as assigned.
• Administer and grade tests and quizzes.
• Maintain student records and documentation.
• Support remediation and academic improvement efforts.
• Coordinate with Site Lead and Curriculum Developers to support student success.
