Job summary

Eckerd Connects is seeking an Academic Instructor in Albany, GA to conduct classroom instruction in the designated subject area. You will foster a positive learning environment, maintain discipline, and use curriculum resources to engage students.

The role requires Georgia teaching certification, a valid driver's license preferred, and compliance with drug screening and background checks. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits and annual salary listed.

Qualifications

• Certified to teach in state of Georgia.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.
• Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Instruct in designated subject area in a regular classroom setting.
• Promote a positive atmosphere within the classroom to maximize student motivation.
• Maintain discipline to insure maximum learning and establish strong student/instructor rapport.
• Utilize available curriculum resources to support instruction.
• Maintain attendance records and forward daily attendance to Student Records.

Annual Salary: $45,000 - $48,000

Duties & Responsibilities

• The Academic Instructor performs as an instructor in a regular classroom setting, presenting instructions in designated subject area.
• The Academic Instructor promotes a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom setting to insure maximum student motivation.
• Maintains a high degree of discipline within the classroom setting in order to insure maximum learning; establishes a high degree of student/instructor rapport.
• Utilizes all possible curriculum resources available.
• Maintains student personnel folders; records and forwards daily attendance to the Student Records area.
