Job Summary

This is a 1-year benefitted, contract position from employment start date.

We are seeking a seasoned professional with a comprehensive understanding of UC, campus, and unit academic practices, policies, and procedures. The successful candidate will resolve moderate to complex academic personnel and HR-related issues affecting a broad range of academic titles in innovative and practical ways. The individual will serve as the primary academic contact for designated client departments.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Salary placement within the range depends on experience and internal equity. For union-represented positions, placement will follow the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $88,600 - $132,900 annually.

Department Description

The UCSF Academic Personnel Office seeks an Academic Analyst to assist within the Executive Vice Chancellor & Provost organization. The role involves supporting a range of academic populations, including paid and academic-affiliated without salary appointments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience/training
• At least 3 years of experience in UC or similar academic personnel services or HR activities
• Ability to interpret and apply system-wide and campus policies on academic personnel & HR
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with diverse audiences
• Strong prioritization skills and the ability to analyze information for appropriate actions

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong understanding of compensation policies, CBA, and procedures for academic and health sciences employees
