The University of South Carolina in Columbia invites applications for a Human Resources Manager in the College of Arts and Sciences. You will guide HR operations, support faculty and staff, and serve as a trusted resource for assigned units.

Working with the Associate Director and Director, you will handle hiring, reappointment, pay actions, and faculty review milestones such as tenure and promotion. You will collaborate across units to ensure compliant, efficient HR processes.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience.
• Experience working in Higher Education Human Resources is preferred.
• Experience with PeopleSoft HCM and PeopleAdmin is also preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist HR operations for the College of Arts and Sciences; provide administrative support to the Associate Director and Director.
• Coordinate hiring and reappointment for FTE, research grant, time-limited positions, adjuncts, and staff; prepare letters.
• Assist with position descriptions, job requisitions, new hire actions, and filing of documents.
• Serve as backup HR manager and may join search committees as needed.
• Support faculty review milestones including tenure and promotion.
• Contribute to overall HR process improvements and ensure policy compliance.
