Job summary

The Regents of the University of California on behalf of their Los Angeles Campus seeks an Academic Human Resources Analyst 3 CX to manage academic personnel for 27 ladder faculty, 8 non‑ladder staff, 22 Postdocs, and other appointees in EEB, CaSB and Stunt Ranch. Responsibilities include dossier creation, hiring actions, payroll processing, and supporting policies.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of UCLA academic personnel and payroll policies, procedures, and processes.
• Broad knowledge of Departmental and University policies and procedures, esp. manuals.
• Analytical ability to interpret policies and convey information clearly in writing.
• Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines amid interruptions and changing workload.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage academic personnel matters for 27 ladder faculty, 8 non-ladder staff, 22 Postdocs, and appointees.
• Prepare employment dossiers, gather information, and support policy procedures.
• Develop and provide data to support departmental initiatives and committees.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance for payroll/personnel transactions for academic staff.
