UC Santa Barbara's Environmental Studies Program seeks an Academic HR Coordinator to manage academic HR activities for Lecturers, Teaching Assistants/Associates, Visiting Scholars and more. You will coordinate hiring, onboarding, merit/promotion cycles and adhere to campus Academic Personnel policies while providing excellent customer service to faculty and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience/training.
• 1-3 years administrative work experience.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate academic HR personnel and recruitment processes for Lecturers, Teaching Assistants/Associates, Visiting Scholars, and others.
• Onboarding/off-boarding, merit/promotion review, and policy guidance for department staff.
• Collaborate with Business Officer and other campus units on payroll, benefits, visas, and records.
