Job summary

The Department of Orthopaedics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a full-time academic orthopaedic surgeon with specialization in hand and nerve surgery to join our Upper Extremity Service.

The clinical focus will be hand, micro, and nerve surgery; hand fellowship-trained candidates encouraged; duties include general orthopaedic call, hand trauma, elective hand surgery, and microvascular reconstruction of the upper extremities.

Qualifications

• DO, MD, or equivalent required.
• Completion of a one year Hand Fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board eligible in Orthopaedics.

Responsibilities

• Provide hand, micro, and nerve surgery services.
• Take general orthopaedic call and hand trauma coverage.
• Engage in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Pursue clinical, outcomes, health services, or translational research.
