Job summary

The Department of Orthopaedics at UNC Health Care is seeking applications for a full-time academic orthopaedic surgeon with specialization in hand and nerve surgery to join our Upper Extremity Service in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Hand fellowship-trained candidates are encouraged to apply; the clinical focus includes hand, micro, and nerve surgery with general orthopaedic call, hand trauma, elective hand surgery, reconstructive surgery, and microvascular reconstruction of the upper

Qualifications

• DO/MD or equivalent.
• Hand fellowship completed.
• Board certification or eligibility in Orthopaedics.

Responsibilities

• Provide hand, micro, and nerve surgery within upper extremity service.
• Take general orthopaedic call and manage hand trauma and elective hand surgery.
• Contribute to education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Engage in research across clinical, outcomes, health services, or related areas.
