Job summary

Saint Louis University is seeking a non-tenure track Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for the Master’s in Occupational Therapy program. The role focuses on clinically grounded student learning, teaching in area of expertise, scholarly activity, and service to the Doisy College of Health Sciences.

The candidate will coordinate Level I/II fieldwork, align field experiences with curriculum, and liaise with sites and educators to support students’ development in line with program goals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• Licensed occupational therapist with at least five years of practice.
• At least three years as fieldwork educator for Level I/II or teaching experience at college/university level.
• Currently licensed in Missouri or eligible for licensure.
• Evidence of clinical education and university teaching experience.
• Experience as a clinical instructor and/or site coordinator of clinical education.
• Preferred: terminal doctoral degree (OTD or other doctoral degree).
• University teaching experience and peer‑reviewed scholarship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with faculty to design fieldwork experiences aligning with curriculum.
• Match and advise students on Level I/II fieldwork placements and processes.
• Communicate with students and fieldwork educators about progress and performance.
• Represent the program at trainings, meetings, and site visits.
