Job summary

Segue Institute for Learning in Central Falls, RI seeks an Academic Fellow - Registered Behavior Technician to support students with disabilities under the supervision of the BCBA and school leadership. The role emphasizes implementing individualized behavior interventions and coordinating with teachers.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with students with disabilities and/or autism preferred.
• Certified as Registered Behavior Technician, or willing to obtain within first year.
• Safety Care experience preferred, or willingness to obtain certification within first year.
• Strong student-advocacy and ability to communicate with colleagues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support in implementing modifications and accommodations per IEPs, FBA, and BIPs as directed by case managers, teachers, BCBA, and admins.
• Provide small group and/or 1:1 assistance to students as directed by teachers.
• Collaborate with special and general education staff to ensure cohesive wrap-around services for students with special needs.
• Gather and maintain data on academic and behavioral performance as directed by case managers and admins.
• Maintain enrollment in required trainings and receive supervision from district BCBA monthly.
