Job summary

Albany Medical College in Albany, NY, seeks an Academic Endocrinologist at Assistant/Associate Professor level to engage in clinical care and education for students, residents and fellows. The role emphasizes teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment and opportunities to specialize in thyroid, pituitary, diabetes, or transgender endocrinology.

The division offers a robust education program, active clinical duties, and collaboration with a comprehensive diabetes education team.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent board-eligible in Endocrinology and committed to education.
• Demonstrated strong teaching and mentoring abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in bimonthly multidisciplinary conferences (thyroid, pituitary, pathology).
• Provide education to students, residents and fellows.
• Collaborate with the strong diabetes education team (CDCES).
• Use an ultrasonography suite for thyroid ultrasounds and FNAs.
• Teach medical students, residents and fellows.
• Opportunity to work in specific endocrinology areas (thyroid, pituitary, diabetes, transgender medicine) if interested.
