Job summary

Albany Medical College's Division of Endocrinology is recruiting an Academic Endocrinologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. The role blends clinical care with education for students, residents and fellows in a tertiary referral center.

Responsibilities include leading bimonthly multidisciplinary conferences, working with a diabetes education team, using ultrasound/FNAs for thyroid evaluation, and pursuing focused areas such as thyroid, pituitary, diabetes, or transgender medicine.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent with board certification/board eligibility in Endocrinology.
• Strong commitment to education and teaching.
• Must be prepared to work in a team-oriented, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in bimonthly multidisciplinary conferences (thyroid, pituitary, pathology).
• Exposure to a wide variety of endocrinopathies as part of a tertiary referral center.
• Collaborate with a strong diabetes education team, including Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (CDCES).
• Utilize an ultrasonography suite for thyroid ultrasounds and FNAs.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Opportunity to work in specific areas of endocrinology (e.g., thyroid, pituitary, diabetes, transgender medicine) if interested.
