Job summary

The CU Anschutz Department of Emergency Medicine is recruiting Emergency Medicine Physicians to serve as academic faculty with expertise in education, research, and scholarly activity. The role includes patient care and bedside/ didactic teaching of EM residents and medical students at multiple sites, including affiliated hospitals and the Anschutz Medical Campus.

Qualifications

• Current Colorado Medical License or ability to obtain before start date.
• Completion of an Emergency Medicine residency.
• Board prepared or certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
• Doctorate Degree.
• Must be able to provide a Dossier for School of Medicine committee review.
• Applicants will have some successful teaching experience and will be expected to teach and/or provide clinical care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in the emergency department at approved sites.
• Engage in bedside teaching and supervision of learners.
• Lead or participate in didactic teaching for residents and students.
• Publish scholarly work and contribute to academic mission.
• Participate in patient safety, quality improvement, and committee work.
