Qualifications

• MD degree from an accredited medical school.
• Emergency Medicine/Internal Medicine residency.
• Active Virginia medical license and DEA.
• Completion of an Emergency Medicine/Internal Medicine residency within 3 years.
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Emergency Medicine/Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care in the emergency department, supervising trainees and providers, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliant documentation.
• Teach medical students, interns and residents through core lectures and bedside clinical teaching.
• Participate in departmental research projects.
• Attend department meetings and participate in quality improvement, utilization review, marketing and committee activities.

Education

Medical degree (MD) from accredited medical school

Emergency Medicine/Internal Medicine residency

Active Virginia medical license

DEA registration

Board eligible or board certified in Emergency Medicine/Internal Medicine

Residency completion within 3 years
