Qualifications

• Board eligible or board certified in Emergency Medicine/Internal Medicine.
• Active Virginia Medical license, DEA.
• Graduate of an accredited medical school.
• Graduate from an Emergency Medicine/Internal Medicine residency program.
• Completion of an EM/IM residency within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency department supervising trainees and providers.
• Document encounters with timely notes and adhere to policies and codes.
• Fulfill billing and coding responsibilities per scope of practice.
• Demonstrate professionalism and flexibility to cover shifts.
• Teach core curriculum lectures to students, interns, and residents; participate in ACLS/PALS/ATLS.
• Participate in departmental research projects.
• Attend department meetings and participate in quality improvement activities.

Board-certified in Emergency Medicine/Internal Medicine

Virginia Medical license

Graduate of Accredited Medical School

Emergency Medicine/Internal Medicine Residency

Completion of EM/IM residency within 3 years
