Qualifications

• Board eligible or board certified in Emergency Medicine/Internal Medicine.
• Active Virginia Medical license, DEA.
• Graduate of accredited Medical School.
• Graduate from an Emergency Medicine/Internal Medicine Residency Program.
• Completion of an Emergency Medicine/Internal Medicine residency within 3 years.
• Commitment to a respectful, professional, and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Clinical: provide direct patient care in the emergency department and supervise trainees; document encounters; adhere to policies; cover shifts as needed.
• Teaching: deliver core lectures to medical students, interns, and residents; participate in ACLS, PALS, ATLS courses; mentor trainees.
• Research: identify areas of interest and participate in departmental research projects.
• Administrative: attend staff meetings, participate in quality improvement, assist with marketing/PR activities and committee work.
