Job summary

University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology, seeks an exceptional pathology-trained dermatopathologist to join our academic faculty in Baltimore. This role expects an Assistant Professor rank or higher and involves diagnostic excellence, teaching, and leadership in our dermatopathology program.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• Residency in Anatomic Pathology (AP) or AP/CP.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Pathology.
• Completion of an accredited Dermatopathology Fellowship.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Dermatopathology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Maryland.
• Excellent diagnostic skills and strong surgical pathology foundation.
• Commitment to teaching and academic growth.

Responsibilities

• Interpret a diverse spectrum of dermatopathology specimens in a major academic medical center.
• Provide expertise in diagnosis of inflammatory, neoplastic, infectious skin diseases.
• Collaborate with dermatologists and specialists on challenging cases.
• Educate and mentor dermatology residents, medical students, and trainees.
• Participate in clinical research, publications, and quality-improvement initiatives.
• Help develop and expand dermatopathology services within the department.
