This position will serve as an Academic Coach within Durango’sAdvancement & Support Hub ( DASH ), supporting students acrossmultiple scholarship cohorts. The position will foster belongingand student success through individualized academic, career,social, and emotional support; connections to campus and communityresources; and guidance in developing skills and strategies forpersistence and degree completion. The Academic Coach willcollaborate with campus partners to provide holistic, wrap-aroundsupport and use student data to proactively identify needs andconnect students with timely resources, with the goal of increasingretention and graduation.
Provide proactive, ongoing academic and career coaching throughindividualized and group meetings, digital outreach, and othertargeted interventions. Develop individualized success plans andmaintain regular communication with students to monitor progress,address barriers, and connect them with appropriate resources andsupport. Collaborate with advisors, faculty, and peer mentors tocoordinate outreach and support for students who may benefit fromadditional assistance. Maintain accurate records of studentinteractions and services to support program assessment, research,and continuous improvement.

Conduct academic success check-ins with students on probation or atrisk of not meeting university academic requirements, providingindividualized support and connections to resources. Assist indeveloping and facilitating academic success workshops,team-building activities, and student onboarding experiences.Support outreach and presentations for current and prospectivestudents. Promote career exploration and readiness through careerfairs, résumé reviews, and other career-development activities.Assist with the planning and facilitation of annual Peer Mentortraining.
