Job summary

South Bloomfield Elementary is seeking an Academic Coach to support students individually or in small groups, improving academic performance and readiness for tests.

The role involves creating personalized success plans, analyzing data and classroom performance, and coordinating with teachers, staff, and families to monitor progress and adjust tutoring strategies. This is a part-time position based on the annual contract with retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university (preferred).
• Teaching License or Educational Aide Permit with ESEA Endorsement.
• Successful completion of a BCI/FBI Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide private instruction to individuals or small groups to improve academic performance.
• Create individualized student success plans using data and classroom performance.
• Support in English-Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to determine student needs and tutoring plans.
• Communicate student progress via written reports, calls, or email.
