Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Education/Professional School Counseling or related field.
• Experience in academic advising, counseling, career guidance or vocational counseling.
• Ability to connect and support a diverse student population.
• Compliance with applicable laws, regulations and college policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal, academic and career counseling to individual students from diverse backgrounds.
• Support student academic success through advising, counseling, planning and goal clarification.
• Develop and potentially instruct courses in college orientation and career planning.
• Support retention and success via relationship-building and problem solving; provide crisis assessment when needed.
