The Community College of Philadelphia seeks a full-time, tenure-track Counselor at the Main Campus. You will provide academic, career, and personal counseling to a diverse student body, help with educational planning, and support retention initiatives.

This role requires a Master’s in counseling, relevant experience, and the ability to collaborate with faculty and the college community. Expect evening availability and potential teaching of Counseling 101 as needed.

Formación

• Master’s degree in counseling or closely related field.
• At least one year of counseling experience with a diverse college student population.
• Understanding of counseling theories, career guidance, and student support services.
• Crisis intervention experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic tech tools; willingness to learn new tech.

Responsabilidades

• Provide academic, career, and personal counseling to a diverse student population.
• Participate in student orientation, classroom presentations, and outreach activities.
• Meet with students in-person, by phone, or via Zoom; develop educational plans.
• Plan and conduct workshops to improve student retention; teach Counseling 101 as needed.
• Maintain proficiency with current and emerging technology; collaborate with faculty.
