Job summary

The University of Washington Department of Surgery invites applications for a full-time breast surgeon at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, WOT, with a Summer/Fall 2027 start. The position will be based at UW Medical Center and Fred Hutch Cancer Center, offering a strong clinical identity balanced with academic focus within a leading cancer program.

Qualifications

• MD degree (or foreign equivalent)
• Board eligibility (or foreign equivalent) by the American Board of Surgery
• Eligible for medical licensure in state of Washington
• USMLE steps completion (or equivalent) for visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive surgical evaluation and management of benign and malignant breast disease.
• Independently perform oncologic and diagnostic breast procedures including breast-conserving surgery and mastectomy.
• Participate in multidisciplinary breast clinics and tumor conferences.
• Collaborate with medical oncology, radiation oncology, breast imaging, pathology, and plastic surgery.
• Contribute to quality improvement, evidence-based care pathways, and program growth.
• Teach SSO Breast Surgical Oncology fellows, ACGME residents, UW medical students, and other trainees.
• Serve as a clinical leader at one of our community sites in the Seattle area

Education
