Job summary

Northern Michigan University seeks an Academic AV Technology Coordinator I to support university-wide installed and portable AV systems for classrooms and events. You will work under the AV Operations Supervisor, handling videoconferencing, streaming, and event needs across NMU and regional communities.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least one year of AV technician experience, with willingness to work evenings/weekends and be on-call. CTS certification is desirable but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum one year as an AV technician.
• Experience setting up and supporting AV in education contexts.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for university AV systems.
• Operate and troubleshoot classroom AV equipment and videoconferencing.
• Assist with scheduling, setup, and event support.
• Train users on AV soft-client apps and recording systems.
