Job summary

The University of Minnesota Physicians in Minneapolis seeks ABA board-certified/eligible Anesthesiologists/CCM Intensivists to join a dynamic academic anesthesia program. The department supports leadership in perioperative medicine and provides extensive teaching opportunities for residents and fellows.

Primary duties include rounding in a high-acuity CTICU with ECMO and complex cardiac patients; night and daytime coverage in a 24/7 in-house model, with potential SICU coverage and general

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited ACGME Anesthesiology residency and/or fellowship training program.
• ABA board certification or eligibility.
• Minnesota medical license or ability to obtain.
• DEA certification eligibility in Minnesota.
• Ability to obtain US work authorization and maintain status.

Responsibilities

• Rounding in CTICU, including ECMO and complex cardiac patients, with 24/7 in-house coverage.
• Cover SICU and Med/Surg ICUs as needed.
• Provide general anesthesia in a care team model when not in ICU.
• Collaborate with residents, fellows, and APPs.
• Pursue protected academic time for education, quality, service or research.
