Job Overview

Position: ABA board‑certified/eligible Anesthesiologist or Critical Care Medicine (CCM) Intensivist
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Department of Anesthesiology, University of Minnesota

Responsibilities
  • Round in the high acuity CTICU, including ECMO, complex cardiac surgery, cardiac and pulmonary transplant patients, and mechanical assist devices.
  • Provide 24/7 in‑house coverage for CTICU; may also cover SICU and two community Med/Surg ICUs with a similar coverage model.
  • Perform general anesthesia in a care‑team model when not on ICU service.
  • Work collaboratively with residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers.
  • Participate in protected academic time for education, quality improvement, service, or research interests.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME anesthesiology residency and/or fellowship training program.
  • Board‑eligible or board‑certified with the American Board of Anesthesiology.
  • Licensed or able to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice licensure.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in Minnesota.
  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
  • Hold work authorization in the United States and maintain legal status per U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services requirements.
