Summary of Position:The Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is seeking a dependable and motivated Student Office Assistant to provide general clerical and administrative support. This position, General Clerical Level I, is ideal for a student who is organized, professional, comfortable learning new technology, and committed to maintaining confidentiality while working in a busy office environment.

Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Adobe products and/or Microsoft Publisher
- Previous office, receptionist, or customer service experience
- Experience with filing, document management, or clerical work
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for office projects and special assignments
- Assist with preparing presentations, spreadsheets, documents, and communications
- Assist with review hiring documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely processing
- Assist with cross-referencing employment information and records in Banner and other applications (Excel) to verify accuracy and consistency
- Assist with copying, scanning, and filing documents
- Support the maintenance of electronic and paper records
- Assist with entering and updating information in various computer systems
- Perform general clerical duties as assigned
- Answer and route telephone calls professionally
