Northeastern University seeks an Explore Program Academic Advisor to guide undeclared first-year students through academic exploration and major decisions. You will design and implement exploratory programs and events connecting students with faculty, peers, and resources across majors.
The role requires in-person work five days a week on the Boston campus, with collaboration across network campuses to support first-year success.

The Explore Program Academic Advisor will work with undeclaredfirst-year students to provide them with holistic guidance andsupport as they explore their academic interests and make thetransition to their majors. The Academic Advisor will design andimplement exploratory programs and events which allow students toconnect with faculty, students, and resources from various majorsacross the University. This position will also work closely withcampus partners and advising teams on Northeastern's undergraduatenetwork campuses (London, New York, and Oakland) to serve as aresource for first-year students as they prepare for theirtransition to Northeastern's Boston campus.
The Explore Program provides personalized and holistic support tofirst-year students who have not yet declared a major as theyengage in academic exploration and self-discovery. The programachieves this through individual advising, exploratory events andworkshops, and a first-year seminar course.
Master's degree preferred, preferably in counseling, humanservices, or higher education. At least two years of work oreducational experience, preferably in higher education. Must enjoyworking with first-year students and helping them adjust to collegelife. The successful candidate will:
